Tours in Valpolicella

You will be taken on a half-day tour of the hills in the Valpolicella area, located at the foot of the Veronese pre-Alps, to discover new tastes and landscapes.

This area has been renowned since Roman times for its vineyards and the production of fine wine. Amarone, an internationally renowned wine is made only here in the hills of Valpolicella.

The first stop on the tour will be at an old farm surrounded by vineyards, on whose estate is an old stately manor from the seventeenth century where one can still see fragments of Roman architecture, such as the temple dedicated to the goddess Flora.

You will be taken on a tour through the vineyards, where the methods of growing, harvesting and wine-making will be explained. The visit will continue to the old wine cellars built in volcanic tuff stone in the 1600s that still house oak barrels for aging the classic wines of Valpolicella.

The tour will end in a country courtyard with outbuildings and open-air barrel rooms, where you can taste an assortment of local wines: Amarone, Valpolicella and Ripasso, accompanied by a sampling of  typical foods.
